SW for navigation

DKart Navigator ECS/ECDIS family of programs are designed for the most complete and operational display of information about the navigation situation, which allows the skipper to optimize decisions and reduce the time of their adoption. This increases the safety of navigation and the economic efficiency of the exploitation of ships.

The achievement of these goals is possible due to the following main properties of dKart Navigator ECS/ECDIS systems:

  • Use of vector electronic maps

The program uses vector electronic maps, which allows you to analyze the navigation situation quickly and predict its changes. It is possible to use both the official format IHO S-57, and maps from the world collection of the company C-MAP. The program provides a number of tools for operational proofreading maps, both automatic and manual, based on information received through various communication channels including the Internet.

  • Ability of conjugation with external devices

The well developed program interface of the program allows to receive, process and display on the operator's monitor signals from all currently used navigation devices, from the gyrocompass to the AIS transponder. Thus, the maximum possible completeness of the presentation of information about the navigation situation to the operator-skipper is achieved.

  • Advanced functionality of the program

The program provides a wide range of user functions that speed up the decision-making process by the skipper and improve their quality. The whole set of functions of the program can be divided into the following groups:

  • Display of Electronic navigational charts and work with them
  • Pre-routing
  • Executive routing
  • Functions of control of route's safety
  • Special functions

The specific set of user functions is different for different versions of the program.

SW of the post processing

Post-processing of survey data is used to obtain various reports, to build tablets and maps.

For data post-processing, third-party SW is mainly used. This SW can be included in the package of the complex or purchased by the User independently.

Program Surfer™

Manufacturer: GoldenSoftware, Inc. (USA).
Assignment: creation of the isoline's  charts, three-dimensional, shadow's charts, etc.; regularization and spatial data analysis.

The program can be used to build bathymetric charts from the results of  measurements using echo sounders (ES) or swath survey using SSS with ES or ISSS with ES.

Basic data presentation formats:

  • isoline's  charts
  • three-dimensional image of the surface
  • wireframe presentation
  • relief shadow charts
  • vector field
  • the  raster and vector underlying layer charts
  • display of the dot objects, labels, and graphical primitives

It is possible to combine different formats of data representation on one map, as well as to place an arbitrary number of maps next to each other in one document. Almost all aspects of the display can be customized by the user. The software package provides easy and fast preparation of high quality graphic materials.

The Surfer document is stored in its own binary SRF format. Source data can be imported from a large number of different formats: DAT, TXT, SLK, XLS, WKx, WRx, CSV, BNA, BLN, DEM, SDTS DDF, GTOP30 HDR, DXF, GSI, BLN, SHP, LGO, BNA, GSB, DLG, LGS, MIF, E00, USGS SDTS DLG DDF, EMF, WMF, TIF, PCX, BMP, PLT, CLP, TGA, PCX, JPG, PNG, DCX, WPG, PCT etc. You can export to a variety of formats, including : DXF, SHP, BNA, BLN, MIF, GSI, GSB, EMF, WMF, CLP, CGM, TIF, BMP, JPG, TGA, PNG, PCX, DCX, WPG, PCT, XLS, SLK, CSV, TXT, DAT.

To prepare the data, there is a built-in table editor that allows you to perform various mathematical operations on the table data.

To visualize surfaces, Surfer uses data on a rectangular regular grid. The package implements many algorithms for building a regular grid (regularization, or gridding). Among them: triangulation, inverse distance method, kriging, polynomial regression, minimum curvature method, nearest neighbor method, Shepard method, radial basis function method, moving average method, local polynomial method. It is possible of fine-tuning of all regularization parameters to ensure the most correct result. Variograms can be used to analyze the data. Means are available to indicate fault lines.

Various mathematical operations can be performed on the surface files. For example, it is possible to build a difference chart, showing the differences between two surfaces.

The package supports software automation based on ActiveX technology. There is a built-in editor and interpreter of the script language VBA.

Program HyScan

The program HyScan is designed to automate the processes of working with the complex in terms of reception, visualization, processing, analysis and archiving of the received sonar and parametric information for its further processing and documentation.
The program provides (with the appropriate configuration of the complex) execution of works on search, detection and research of various objects located in the water column and on the bottom surface, execution of measurement and mapping works, engineering and ecological monitoring.

With the help of the received sonar information (SI) and parametric data from sensors (parametric information),  in the process of working of sonar complex, program allows to generate acoustic image of the bottom (AI) in the form of two-dimensional image, explore AI, perform the necessary measurings on the image, to record the received data for further processing and reproduction, to estimate quality of the received information.
The program provides the following functionality  for Operator:

  • Management of the complex operation
  • Display of the received Sonar Information, and parametric information in various forms during the operation of the complex
  • Pre-processing of the received data
  • Measurements based on Acoustic Image (AI) data and parametric information
